A few years ago a disposable had one flavour. Now you can carry two, four or more in a single device and switch whenever you like. It is one of the biggest trends in the market – and also one of the most confusing, because the numbers on the box mean something different from what most people assume.
Key points
- Multi-flavour devices have separate tanks – flavours don’t mix.
- The puff rating is shared across all tanks, not per flavour.
- More flavours = more variety, but also a bigger, heavier device.
- Best for people who get bored of one flavour or like a “day” and an “evening” taste.
How multi-flavour devices work
Inside the shell there are several sealed e-liquid tanks. You switch between them – depending on the model, by a switch or button – and the device draws from the selected tank. Because each tank is sealed, flavours don’t blend into each other. On models with a screen, such as the Fumot Eco 4-in-1, the display shows which tank is active along with battery and e-liquid level.
The puff rating is shared
This is the part that catches people out. An 80K four-tank device is not 80,000 puffs of each flavour – it is up to 80,000 puffs in total, split across four flavours. If you mostly use one tank, that tank will run out long before the others.
Our take
Pick a combination where you genuinely like every flavour. A tank you never touch is liquid you paid for and won’t use.
2-in-1 vs 4-in-1 vs multi-flavour
“—” means the manufacturer doesn’t publish that figure for this model.

Who should buy one (and who shouldn’t)
- Good fit: you get bored of one flavour after a few days; you like a fruity flavour by day and something minty later; you want one device in your pocket instead of three.
- Less of a fit: you have one favourite and never switch – a single-flavour device like the Tornado 25K gives you more of what you actually use.
- Think about size: more tanks mean a larger device. If pocket size matters, a 2-in-1 is the easiest compromise.

FAQ
Do the flavours mix in a multi-flavour vape?
No. Each flavour sits in its own sealed tank; you choose which one to draw from.
Is the puff count per flavour?
No – it is the total for the whole device, shared between all tanks.
What happens when one tank runs out?
You can keep using the others. Devices with a display show which tank is active and how much liquid is left.
